Text Free Voice is an app for Android devices that lets you make phone calls and send text messages for free. It uses a WiFi signal to provide you with free services.

Selecting a new phone number is the first thing that you must do before using this app. You can enter the number that you want and let the app search to see if that number is available. It will also recommend phone numbers for you. Any texts sent or calls made to that number will come through your phone. If you don't have a phone, you can download and use this app on a similar device such as a tablet.

The app works with both text and SMS messages. You can send messages that contain emojis or photos without facing any fees. The app also lets you receive those messages for free. When it comes to phone calls, you can both make and receive calls through the app. Though it primarily works in the United States, it now allows you to make calls to Mexico without paying a fee.

After setting up this app, you must use it at least once a month. If you skip a month, it will ask you to pay a $4.99 a month fee before you can use it again. The app will also attempt to charge you fees each time you use it. You need to watch a video ad or submit a short survey to get access to its free services. The app comes bundled with some ads that users dislike. Those ads run for 15 to 30 seconds or longer and require that you sit through at least one before you can use the app. Some users also experienced problems with the app dropping calls or with text messages not going through.

Pay as you go cell phone providers still charge based on the number of texts or calls you use on your phone. Even if you have a standard cell phone plan, you may only get a certain amount of data that you can use each month. This app looks for a WiFi signal and uses that signal to make and receive both calls and texts. You can get the service you want and need without paying more for a plan.
